Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and a singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell had a role that was not credited on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the both the music and drama club. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell quit her studies in 2001 and took on the part of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit with Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. The scene however cut, and Bell's only role is the end credits. Bell played featured in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
